RESEARCH ENGINEER – DEVICE MODELLING AND CIRCUIT SIMULATION (REF.03.20.09/1)

Regime Integral

Colocado em 21/09/2020

Role & Key Responsibilities

The Research Engineer will be responsible for designing and testing process design toolkits (PDKs) in order to integrate a variety of nanodevices with conventional EDA tools (Cadence, Synopsys and Mentor). The prospective candidate must interface with other internal (INL) or external device groups in order to provide working simulational tools in the common semiconductor tool environment:

  • PDK (process design toolkit – electrical, schematic and layout models for full integration with EDA tools);
  • High-level device simulation (functional models, HDL models, etc.);
  • Device electrical model incorporation in circuit simulation tools (Spice models).

Perfil do Candidato

Experience and Technical Skills

  • Ability to produce process design toolkits (PDKs) and their integration with conventional semiconductor device simulation tools (CADENCE, Synopsys and Mentor), including Verilog and Spice models, schematic and layout models, and support for signing-off to fabrication with correct DRC, LVS, and parasitic extraction.
  • Experience in EDA tools (Cadence, Synopsys and Mentor) and Analog mixed-signal design flow.

Competências necessárias:

 Personal Skills

  • Strong motivation to work both independently and as part of a team in an interdisciplinary environment, with the ability to pay close attention to detail and to meet deadlines;
  • Excellent communication skills;
  • Capable of establishing collaborative ties;

Languages

Excellent communication skills in English are required since it’s the working language of INL.

Condições:

What we offer

  • Social Security costs to be paid by INL;
  • Work Accidents insurance costs to be paid by INL, to provide coverage for work accidents and invalidity benefits;
  • Health insurance with excellent coverage;
  • Tax Benefits;
  • A family allowance for staff members that are married or that are living under the status of “common-law couple” and/or have any dependent child;
  • A child allowance for each dependent child;
  • Free Nursery Service at INL campus (subject to availability);
  • Support for Education fees of dependent children;
  • Depending on the place of residence, INL covers 100% of travel expenses for all family members;
  • 30 days of annual leave;
  • Diplomatic status.
